Lesson Summary and Take-Aways 4/8/15

I lost the recording to my lesson (sad day....), so I'm going off of memory. We basically worked a couple of concepts throughout the lesson, so this one is going to be a little short.

• bloom into each sound (think of that picture that Cindy showed you with the vowels)
• Shimmer/spin "psshhhh" sensation
• velvet: smooth/no harsh edges
• Gradually bloom into each note and "speed it up" until the ear can't hear the entrances.

• All sensation should be in front of the cheeks; nothing behind it. Then release the jaw. 
• “Gott Im Fruhling”
• Think of phrases. Don’t sing until you know how your body feels in the phrase; this includes breaths, etc. 
• “Das Erste Veilchen”
• Think colors!
• “Dream Valley”
• On descending areas, think of the air on the side edges of the soft palette; just watch the tongue that it doesn’t stiffen.
