I've been weaning myself off of the "panting" exercises because of what Lynn Helding said about the mucosal lining on the vocal folds. I've done that exercise enough anyways that I feel that I've learned the gesture well enough to not actually have to do the panting to get the same results. Still use the nose panting on occasion to remind myself though.
I still catch myself getting "lazy" as I descend in pitch; keep the height!
Allow the tongue to loosen up and be fat and released in the back.
Did some SOVT exercises when I had a hard time balancing my airflow, and I alternated between more open exercises as well.
