[fi fe fi fe fi] 564534231
Cindy did "dummy face" at me while I did this, particularly for my inhalation.
"so long" 8-7654321.
agreeable voice.
use "s" for getting up above pitch.
[bap bap bap ba:] staccato-held. 8-5-3-1.
release into the bottom pitch, then maintain release/open throat of the bottom and incorporate it into the top pitches.
"ba-by ba-by" 1-3 2-4 3-5 4-6 5-7 6-8 7-9 8. 10-8 9-7 8-6 7-5 6-4 5-3 4-2 1.
both syllables are loose-lipped, very supple as you go up. No new jaw posture, and very little change/any sensation of change in the tongue.
If there's edginess in the tone, then loosen the lips even more.
13 35 58 8/10 10/8 85 53 31 "a/eh eh/oh a/eh eh/oh a/eh eh/oh a/eh eh/oh a"
I turn my head to the left shoulder--watch that.
allow the vowel to turn/flip into the other.
allow the pharynx to stay as open in the bottom in the top
Also experiment with "ng" on this vocalize.
"The Heavenly Banquet"
Sing with molars apart in the back and lips together.
You don't need your mouth for pitch!
Don't have a new jaw for the high notes--don't rely on jaw stress to stabilize the larynx.
Allow phrases to a single gesture, rather than a collection of notes. (less clunky)
Sound production is magic! Uniform in external presentation.
"Cruda sorte!"
Just watch that you allow your mouth to stay open the entire time.
Have you "landmark" notes on cadenzas and quickly moving passages for listener points of reference.
