Practice 1/20/15

I warmed up along with my most recent voice lesson: supple high sigh!!
I thought a lot about maintaining height as pitch descended, and I thought a lot about "stretching" before singing. I will admit that it was a little difficult to get into that high place initially, but I just kept thinking about the "teardrop" and thought about what the "interferers" were and how to release them. I also had to trust my voice to pitch thought. Although the notes on ascending exercises felt released and good to sing, I felt like they were really "separated," and it wasn't as legato as I wanted it to be. So I did some purring and I focused a lot on maintaining consistent and generous airflow as well as lightening (get more sigh-like) as I got higher.
