- Remember: focus on the good. Also, have equal stretch up and down. Soften the sides for all around release. Singing with the body, not just the throat up.
- soft jaw, pleasant face.
- "peg-board" cheeks
- "many" 132435 etc.
- nasal qualities help focus on releasing/softening the entire naso- and back pharynx.
- start low enough to get good models
- it helps (at least, this time) to think of the resonance and surrounding structure softness, rather than forcing the sound into a space.
- This really helped......
- don't force jaw opening. Allow it to just be open. You're more likely to notice it than to force it when it's going well. If that makes any sense.
- Think of the softness stretching upward, staying rooted as you ascend. The tongue is also super fat and soft and gushy.
- really THINK the vowel.
~15-20 min. warmup. I feel much better than I have been the last couple of days. The idea of softness stretching is really nice. Still feel like I could use some more focus in my sound, but I'm going to work on that as I get more released.
