I definitely over sang these last couple days for choir, so I woke up with some swelling and discomfort in my speaking and singing voice. Definitely felt raw. So I took my practice slowly and thought about keeping things light but energized.
I've also felt a weird twitching sensation in the back of my tongue when I'm not speaking or resting. It sort of feels like a single pulse that happens periodically. Don't know what it means but I've had it for the past couple days.
I was feeling really lethargic, and I was having a hard time releasing my shoulders/neck/lower back, so I spent some time on the floor, just letting gravity realign my spine.
While I was on the floor, I did some breathing exercises so I could become familiar with how my abdomen released with the exhalation of air and how my vocal folds serve as the valve/regulator for air release.
I definitely have a feeling of sluggishness/swelling in my voice, and my problem is that I have a hard time figuring out how to find "clear" singing without pushing.
