UPDATE:
Figured out what was wrong. I wasn't thinking high enough for singing. I kind of had a feeling my problems were in that general area, but as usual, I wasn't thinking high enough. So what I did was almost overdid how high I had to think before I finally got out of that funk. Yay.
Woke up with really bad acid reflux. My voice is definitely swollen today.
I did some very light vocalizing today, and I noticed that I could feel my larynx oscillating in my throat, which is something I hadn't really noticed before. I remember Cindy and I addressed a problem like this a couple months back, but I couldn't quite remember how we went about fixing it.... I guess I'll ask her in my lesson today.
I did some "ng" and "m" to precede my vowel. I thought a lot about having an unimportant mouth. The origin of the sound is higher than what I think it is. I had to remind myself not to make a certain sound, but to let sound be a result of what I'm doing on the inside.
The more I thought about height, I noticed that I could feel that edginess on my voice/glottal scrape feeling come back in, so I did the vocalizes that we did in my most recent lesson to fix it.
